Biography
CREWS – Graveside service for Harley Crews, 90, of Baldwin, Florida will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Boones Creek Cemetery, St. George, Georgia with Rev. James Conner officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Crews was born October 27, 1917 in St. George, Georgia the son of Lucion and Sarah Crews and died at home May 23, 2008 following a brief illness. Mr. Crews served in the United States Army during World War II and was Primitive Baptist by faith. He was employed with Hercules Powder Company as an equipment operator until his retiring after 35 years. He leaves behind his son, Harley E. Crews and his wife Diane, his two grandsons Harley E. Crews, Jr. and Jonathan Crews. Pallbearers will be: Marty Collins, Gary Greene, Delvin Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Wayne Snowden and Tommy Tipton.
