Gloria Delaine Jones

At 9:57 am on October 6th, 2025, Gloria Delaine Jones passed away peacefully in her own home, surrounded by loved ones. Delaine, as she was known to most, was born and raised in Ambrose, GA. This is also where she met, fell in love with, and married the love of her life - George Raymond Jones. Delaine was a mother, a wife, a sister, a friend, and most importantly, a child of God. Delaine's best remembered as a true Southern, Christian woman who had a tendency to clean the house in the wee hours of the morning, and who made the best crackling corn bread this world has ever seen. She loved intensely, laughed loudly, and danced with her husband in their den to Brooks and Dunn too many times to count.

Death comes for us all in the end, and there's nothing we can do about it, but to be able to look back on a life well lived is up to us. Delaine was able to look back on her life and smile, and we smile because she was a part of ours. Rest easy. Delaine was preceded in death by her Mother, Estelle Grimes Cruz; her husband, George Raymond Jones; her daughter, Tammy Babich; and her brother, Gary Cruz.. She is survived by her sons, Carl Jones, Robert Jones, and Jonathan Jones; her daughter-in-laws, Julie Jones, Tracy Jones, and Amy Jones; her son-in-law, Jess Babich; brothers, Manolate L Cruz, and Efrain Antonio Cruz; her sister, Drucilla Janssen; and seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces/ nephews.
