George Young

Funeral services for George Wilbur Young (76) of Middleburg, Florida will be held 11 am, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Long Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Harry Conaway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will immediately follow in Long Branch Cemetery. Mr. Young was born on October 18, 1938 in Valdosta, Georgia, son of the late Ernest Wilbur Young and the former Lucy Hoyt Hammock. He passed away on December 3, 2014 following a brief illness. In addition to his wife of 55 years, Gerry Young, survivors include: two daughters, Donna (Paul) Hodge and Kim (Kirk) Webb; four grandchildren, Dwayne George, Lacey Hodge, Konner Webb and Kaleb Webb; two great grandchildren, Tymber and Ryver; sister, Ernestine Register; numerous extended family and friends. Those serving as pallbearers include: Rick Kidd, Konner Webb, Dennis Williams, Dennis Horne, Dwayne George and Cody Burkhalter.
