Funeral services for Gary Manchester Easom (58) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2009 at Old Plank Road Baptist Church (8964 Old Plank Road) with Pastor Larry McGinley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2009 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home. Mr. Easom was born July 10, 1950 in Norfolk, Virginia son of the late Charles Neal Easom and the former Mary Lee Smith. He passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 following a lengthy illness. He is survived by: Two Daughters, Desirae Easom and Tiffany Easom; Two Brothers, Jeff (Cindy) Mellott and Dale (Michelle) Campbell; Six Sisters, Pamela (Tim) Roos, Sherry (Larry) Padgett, Michelle (Greg) Martch, Sheila (Danny) Carver, Michelle (Charles) Dumas and Lisa (Linward) Adams; Grandson, Kameron Canepari; Companion, Betty Midyette. He was preceded in death by sister, Karen Glover. Those serving as pallbearers include: Jeffery Mellott, Lyle Padgett, Wesley Padgett, Caleb Campbell, Daniel Thayer and Patrick Midyette.
