Frank Wilkerson, Sr

Funeral services for Frank William Wilkerson, Sr. (91) of Fernandina Beach, Florida will be held 12 pm, Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Drury officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will be held on Riverside Memorial Park with military honors. Mr. Wilkerson was born on November 14, 1923 in Barretts, Georgia, son of the late William Wilton Wilkerson and the former Alverna Cook. He passed away on March 26, 2015 following a lengthy illness. His survivors include: daughter, Frances Ethridge; son Frank (BettyJo) Wilkerson Jr.; four grandchildren, Michelle Ethridge, Virginia Wilkerson, Michael (Christina) Ethridge and Wilton Wilkerson, seven great grandchildren, Mandee, Brittany, Kalon (Brittany), Ciara, Casey, Mariah and Logan; seven great-great grandchildren, Kadee, Jake, Adlee, Madi, Isaiah, Austin and Braelynn; numerous extended friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Maydell Ethridge and grandson, Billy Ethridge. Those serving as pallbearers include: Michael Ethridge, Kalon Ethridge, Jacky Strickland, Raymond Jeebo, Steve Jeebo and David Martin. Honorary pallbearers include: Jack Crews and Butler Priester.
