Edgar B. Williams, Jr.

September 24, 1942 - January 22, 2026

Edgar B. Williams, Jr., the son of Estelle and Edgar B Williams, Sr. went to be with his Savior on January 22, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Jacksonville’s Westside, Edgar was born on September 24, 1942. Edgar loved the Lord, his family, his friends, Otis Road Church of God, and his Florida Gators! He retired from the Duval County School Board as a sheet metal mechanic. Edgar enjoyed going to the lake, taking trips to the mountains and attending Gator football games.

In 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Bunnie Stokes. He is survived by his loving wife, Bunnie; his children, Velvet Williams Eidson (Chris) and Edgar “Ben” Williams, III; his grandchildren, Victoria Eidson and Angelina Eidson and his sister Joan Williams Bryant. He was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Williams.

Pallbearers will be Ted Williams, Monroe Bryant, Charlie Stokes, Dustin Williams, Fletcher Cook and Johnny Nolan. Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Stokes, Richard Stokes, Rick Stokes, Forest Thomas and Dale Williams.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Otis Road Church of God foyer remodel.
