Earl Allen

Funeral services for Earl Allen, Jr. (80) of Baldwin, Florida will be held 11:00 a.m., July 1, 2009 at the United Methodist of Baldwin (51 South Chestnut Street) with Pastor Debbie Halcomb officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, Florida. Mr. Allen was born September 29, 1928 in Baldwin, Florida, son of the late Earl Allen, Sr. and the former Annie Pearl Barbee. He passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 following a lengthy illness. He is survived by: Daughter, Cathie (Johnny) Brantley; Son, Curtis (Candie) Allen; Three Granddaughters, Tamia (Josh) Ellwood, Paige Brantley and Berrie Allen; Grandson, Ken Allen; Three Great Grandchildren, Gabe, Michael and Mary Grace Ellwood; Sister-In-Law, Sally Griner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Billye Allen. Those serving as pallbearers include:C.A. Hunt, Danny, Bostic, Carl Jacobs, Steve Fish, David Fuller, R.J. Voorhees, Ken Peterson and Gibson Crews. Honorary include: Wilbur Petrey and Cedric Wildes. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
