D.W. Robinson

Funeral services for D.W. Robinson (87) of Baldwin, Florida will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Galentine and Bro. Gene Burnsed officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Mr. Robinson was born November 7, 1925, son of the late Ervin Robinson and the former Maggie Heaton. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 20, 2013. D.W. worked as a foreman for Farnell's Dairy, he owned Robinson's Service Station, served as Fire Chief of Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department from 1976 to 1980 and also as Captain and Assistant Chief of Police from 1972 - 1981. Most recently, he retired from Wal-Mart after 25 years of service. He attended Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by daughter, Brenda Dale Robinson and his wife of 63 years, Sarah Lee Oliver Robinson. He is survived by four Daughters, Mildred (Dub) Cobb, Judy (Jim) Harper, Wanda Robinson and Roxanne (Chuck) Spitzer; Ten Grandchildren and Eighteeen Great Grandchildren and sister, Betty Payne. Active pallbearers include, Walt, Joe, Chucky, Derrick, Jon and Robby. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy, Chet, Dub, Jim, Chuck, Jim, and Forrest. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., on Monday, March 25, 2013 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
