Douglas Higginbotham, Sr

Funeral services for Douglas Wayne Higginbotham, Sr. (51) of Maxville, Florida will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Baldwin Church of God with pastors Larry Thornton & Johnnie Anderson officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Long Branch Cemetery, Maxville, Florida. Mr. Higginbotham was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 19, 1960, son of Elijah David Higginbotham and the former Toria Virginia Sweat. He passed away on September 24, 2011 following a brief illness. In addition to his parents, E.D. and Toria, he is survived by: daughter, Jinny (Paul) Stewart; three sons, Doug (Chrissy) Higginbotham, Kyle Higginbotham and Marcus Higginbotham; three granddaughters, Tori Higginbotham, Marissa Whitener and Kloe Stewart; two grandsons, Taylor Ray and Lucas Higginbotham; three brothers, Gary Higginbotham, John (Kathy) Higginbotham and Steven (Diane) Higginbotham; numerous family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
