Funeral services for Dorothy Conner Carter (76) of Melrose, Florida will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Old Plank Road Baptist Church with Pastor Larry McGinley and Rev. Jason Nettles officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Westview Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Carter was born on December 7, 1935 in St. George, Georgia, daughter of the late Alfred Conner and the former Emily Crews. She passed away on April 22, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida. She is survived by: son, Keith (Anita) Carter; brother, Alton (Brenda) Conner; three sisters, Shirley (Charles) Burns, Corena Dubberly and Jan Carter. Those serving as pallbearers include: Bryant Nunley, Charles Parham, Bryan Parham, John Edinger, Charles Johnson and Carroll Mason
