Obituary

Debra "Debbie" Elizabeth Kinkade Hansen, born on February 6, 1968, beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, suddenly passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 58.

Throughout her life, she emanated a soft kindness that touched everyone she met. She always loved everyone and carried herself with grace. Her day-to-day life became one consumed with grandchildren and family gatherings. She was always there to help anyone with anything, regardless of her own struggles. She built a life defined by God, family, work, and mostly her grandbabies. She approached every day with dedication and heart.

Debbie enjoyed fishing with Butch, riding the side-by-side, and going down dirt roads with anyone who would go with her. She was devoted to God and always saw the positives even in the darkest days. She gave fully and without hesitation. Those who knew her will remember her infectious smile and laughter. She had a way of making people feel seen and valued, and her presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around her.

Debbie is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 40 years, Lucien "Butch" Hansen; her 3 daughters, Lauren (Jordan) Elder, Brittany (Nick) Mittrucker, Danielle (Marvin) Legiste; and 8 grandchildren, Cameron, Christopher, Cayden, Austin, Jaeleigh'Ann, Leighton, Noah, and Elizabeth- all who will carry her legacy forward with love and gratitude. She is preceded in death by her mother Ester; her Aunt Peggy Prossor; and her brother, John Kinkade.

A celebration of her life will be held on March 7, 2026 where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the remarkable woman she was. We encourage all who plan to attend to wear purple in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes house plants or plants to place outside in her memory. Her absence leaves a giant hole in our hearts, and we greatly covet your prayers and love during this difficult time.

Her love, her lessons, and her spirit will remain with us forever. As she always said, "Don't let anything bother you for too long, because life is simply too short."

Warren Family Funeral Services is honored to care for Debra and her family at this time.
