Funeral services for Clifton Eugene Gamble (82) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Pastor Bronson Clemens officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, Florida. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the funeral home. Mr. Gamble was born on February 24, 1933 in Baldwin, Florida, son of the late William Gamble and the former Hattie Bennett Harrell. He went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Mr. Gamble served his country for nine years in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty in Korea and retired from Flav-O-Rich Dairies as Fleet Manager. He also served for sixteen years as a deacon at Whitehouse Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. In addition to his wife of 62 years, Mary Colleen Gamble, survivors include: two daughters, Carol (Gary) Crews and Cathy (Richard) Hodgson; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Lanier Addington. Those serving as pallbearers include: Jonathan Crews, Greg Holding, Larry Green, Eric Lanier, Jamie Lanier and Travis Lanier.
