Clarissa Young

Clarissa Joan Young, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a lengthy illness on December 7, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Charles Franklin Young and son Charles David Young. Born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 12, 1932 to Henry H and Lillian Russ. She is survived by Ella Jean (Tommy) Trivette and Lily Ann (Harry) Kirkland, her grandchildren Kristina (Brian) Boudreau, Marcella Trivette, Jonathan (Kimberlee) Kirkland, Alisha Kirkland, Tabitha and Jeremiah Young; her great grandchildren Seaven Trivette, Caleb and Joel King, Jared and Riley Boudreau, Josie Napoli and Emilee Kirkland. Her siblings Shirley Olson, Geraldine Howard, Jacqueline Casey and Henry (Judy) Russ.
Clarissa was a long time member of First Coast Baptist Church where she enjoyed working in the Nursery and Awana's programs for over 15 years. She enjoyed spending her time sewing, going to the mountains and working in her flower garden. She also loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 10:00 am to 11:00am at the Prestwood Funeral Home, 105 U.S. HWY 90 West, Baldwin, Florida 32234. The services celebrating her life will immediately follow the visitation.
Officiating the service will be her grandson Jonathan Kirkland, Pastor Richard Edwards and Pastor Rusty Bryan. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the W Frank Wells Nursing Home in Memory of Clarissa Joan Young, 210 N 2nd Street Macclenny, Fl. 32063.
