Obituary

Cindy Gail Lloyd Slagle, formerly of Nassau Village, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of 64.

A proud alumna of Paxon High School, Cindy devoted 28 years of her life to Home Depot, where she retired from a management position. Her dedication and hard work were hallmarks of her character.

Cindy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose heart overflowed with love for those around her. She found joy in nurturing her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Beyond her immediate family, Cindy embraced many others as her own, offering warmth and care that touched their lives. Her passions included cooking, baking, and crafting homemade jellies—expressions of her generosity and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Jane Lloyd, and her brother, Barney Lloyd Jr.

Cindy leaves behind her devoted husband of 39 years, Morris Slagle; her daughters, Amanda Dempsey (Jason) and Kimberly Wood (Dwayne); her cherished grandchildren, Brianna Eubanks (Aiden), Ciara Dempsey, Nathan Dempsey, and Liam Dempsey; her sisters, Julie Warren (Al) and Brenda Lloyd; as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who held her close to their hearts.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of Baptist Hospital for the compassionate and attentive care they provided to Cindy during her final days.

Cindy’s legacy is one of boundless love and kindness, a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
