Christian D. Muse

Mr. Christian D. Muse, age 66 of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021. Born in Jacksonville to the late Grady Howard Muse and Sophia L. Muse Elegino, he was a lifelong Jacksonville resident. An exceptionally skilled Master Carpenter, he was self-employed for most of his life. Known to be a hardworking man, Mr. Muse liked to stay busy. When he wasn't working, he was helping others or teaching his grandchildren to play guitar, a skill he had a natural talent for. Mr. Muse enjoyed watching old westerns and hunting occasionally. He will be remembered as a down to earth family man who loved to make people laugh. His door was always open to those who needed him. He is survived by his wife of forty four years: Charlotte Starling Muse; daughter: Miranda (Brian) Young of Bryceville; son: Christian Derek Muse of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Brianna Young, Colby Young, Hunter Young, Christian Muse, Wyatt Muse, and Braxton Muse; brothers: Bill Muse of Georgia, Arnold (Diane) Muse of Jacksonville, Robert (Patty) Muse of Macclenny, Herman (Angie) Muse and Gino (Trudy) Elegino all of Jacksonville; sister: Flora Braswell of Yulee; loving daughter-in-law: Rebekah Udell of Neptune Beach; dear friend: Anthony Nolan of Jacksonville and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00am, Friday, May 7, 2021 at Sellers Cemetery, Halsema Road, Jacksonville with Reverend Randy Kisser officiating.
