Funeral Services for Charles "Chuck" Lindberg (77), US Navy Retired, of Jacksonville, FL will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Bishop Charles Nichols officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Mr. Lindberg was born February 20, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Harold John Lindberg and the former Gladys Vivian Shatzly. He passed away October 4, 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness. Survivors include: Three Daughters, Carol (Walter) Gripko, Charlene Lindberg and Linda Mercado; Two Sons, Dwight Marshall and Ron DeLong; Grandson, Chris Gripko; Two Granddaughters, Monica Key and Lisa Gripko. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilhelmenia Lindberg on September 6, 2001. The interment will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
