Charles Flowers, Jr

Graveside services for Charles Ernest Flowers, Jr. USN Ret. (77) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held 10 am, Monday, January 19, 2015 in Riverside Memorial Park with pastor Bert Hutson officiating. The interment will immediately follow with military honors. Mr. Flowers was born on April 8, 1937 in East Liverpool, Ohio, son of the late Charles Ernest Flowers, Sr. and the former Helen Lee Ours. He passed away on January 16, 2015 following a brief illness. In addition to his wife, Carla Flowers, survivors include: five sons, Rick (Cris) Driver, Ed Flowers, Earl (Brittany) Driver, Billy Flowers and Tim (Kathy) Flowers; daughter, Nancy Flowers; brother, Bob Flowers; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Belle Flowers. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm, Sunday, January 18, 2015 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
