Funeral Services for Carolyn Davis Bryce Mester (64) of Jacksonville, FL will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Old Plank Road Baptist Church (8964 Old Plank Road, Jacksonville, FL 32220) with Pastors Larry McGinley and Deryle Adkison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando, FL. She was born June 8, 1944 in Waycross, GA, daughter of the late Jackie B. Davis and the former Jewell Smith Davis. She passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 in Jacksonville, FL following a brief illness. Carolyn was a faithful member of Old Plank Road Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, James Mester, survivors include: Two Sons, James (Staci) Bryce and Randy (Christy) Bryce; Two Granddaughters, Frankie and Jaycie Bryce; Three Brothers, Wayne (Claire) Davis, Ed Davis and Jay Davis; Sister, Janet (Walter) Johnson. She was preceded in death by husband, James Alan Bryce in 1996.
