Carol Sue (Snow) Williams

Mrs. Carol Sue Williams, age 79 of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Clyde and Pauline Dent Snow, her family moved to Jacksonville shortly after her birth. She was a 1963 Andrew Jackson High School graduate and a lifelong Jacksonville resident. Mrs. Williams was a Christian and a member of Otis Road Church of God. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, loving and caring for her family and friends. She enjoyed working outside in her yard, travelling to visit family and friends or just to get away. She also enjoyed sunbathing and making trips to the beach. Mrs. Williams had been a resident at Frank Wells Nursing Home in Macclenny for the last two years. She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years: Arthur "Ted" Williams Jr.; daughter: Renee Carol Williams; son: Clint Lee Williams (Jeff); grandchildren: Ashley Williams and Haley Williams; great grandchildren:  ShayLee Williams, Blayne Williams, and Kamden Hayes all of Jacksonville; brother: Clyde Richard (Betty) Snow Jr. of New Bern, NC; sister: Lavinia (Tracy) Sowell of Eastman, GA; brother-in-law: Robert Williams of Jacksonville; and sisters-in-law: Mary (Billy) Sage, Linda Rikard, and Janet McCargo all of Jacksonville and Terry (Thomas) Braddock of Macclenny. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Johnny Kinchen, Warren Snow and Donnie Snow; mother and father-in-law: Arthur and Myrtis Williams Sr.; brothers-in-law: Sylvester "Bud" Williams, David Rikard, and Phillip McCargo; and sister-in-law: Carolyn Williams. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00am, Friday, December 1, 2023, at Otis Road Church of God with Pastor Stephen Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Otis Road Church of God.
