SOLOMONS – Funeral Services for Buddy Hugh Solomons (38) of Maxville, Florida will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Maxville with Rev. Ricky Miracle and Rev. Roscoe Thomas officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park, Florida. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July, 6, 2008 at the church. Buddy was born September 19, 1969, son of the late Sollie Solomons, III and the former Dorothy Padgett. He went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, July 4, 2008. Buddy fought a long, hard, courageous battle with diabetes and kidney disease. Survivors Include: Two Sisters, Ellen (Donnie) Coleman and Carolyn (JR) Higginbotham, both of Maxville, Florida; Brother, Sollie (Marsha) Solomons of Maxville, Florida; Numerous Family and Friends that will miss him greatly, but will rejoice again with him one day in heaven. He served the Lord for 30 years after receiving Christ as his personal savior at the age of 8. As a member of the First Baptist Church of Maxville, he loved to play the piano, sing and serve the Lord. Buddy's last song was heard Sunday night on June 29, 2008. It was his testimony, "Lord, I Want To Be A Blessing To Someone Today," and to all who knew him he truly was a blessing and inspiration. Buddy you fulfilled your testimony well. Serving as Pallbearers: Joey Nolan, Dale Tinsley, Ed McCreary, Ben Crenshaw, Gerald Taylor and Roger North. Honorary Pallbearers include: Larry Hill and Richard Tansley.
