A celebration of life will be held for Billy Don Goodwyne (69) of Jacksonville, Florida, 10 am, Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home, hosted by his loving family. The interment will immediately follow in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, Florida. Billy was born on September 19, 1944 in Jacksonville, Florida, son of the late J.D. Goodwyne, Sr. and the former Christine Ethel Watson. His homecoming was September 12, 2014, following a brief illness. In addition to his wife of 44 years, Mary Ann Goodwyne, survivors include: two sons, Billy (Marie) Goodwyne and Danny Goodwyne; daughter, Teresa (Adam) Gilbert; six grandchildren, Brittany Shearer, Matthew Shearer, Grant Goodwyne, Wade Goodwyne, Catherine Goodwyne and Rachel Goodwyne; brother, J.D.; two sisters, Ruth and Irma; numerous extended family and friends. Those serving as pallbearers include: Matthew Shearer, Erich Allen, Joseph Mobley, JD Goodwyne III, Joshua Goodwyne and Justin Hager. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the funeral home.
