JOHNSON - Funeral Services for Arnold J. Johnson "AJ" (91) of Jacksonville, FL will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Worthington officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Conner-Green Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson was born September 23, 1917 in Nassau County, FL, son of the late David Edee Johnson and the former Stella Green. He went to heaven, Monday, March 16, 2009 in Jacksonville, FL. Survivors cherishing the love and memories of their beloved Daddy and Papa include: Son, Buddy Johnson; Daughter, Delaine (Tony) Nolan-Creppel; Three Grandsons, Reggy (Karen) Nolan, Devoy and David Johnson; Two Granddaughters, Daniell Nguyen and Angela Johnson; Seven Great Grandchildren; Thirteen Great Great Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers include: Reggy Nolan, Eric Nolan, David Johnson, Devoy Johnson, Arthur Renshaw and Johnny Johnson. He was preceded in death by his Granddaughter, Regina Green. Mr. Johnson was an avid gardener who enjoyed many years of playing guitar and singing country music that he loved so much.
