Arnette Marie Mechum

Graveside services for Arnette Marie Mechum (90) of Baldwin, Florida will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 in Macedonia Cemetery with Pastors Jim Bagget and Paul Hale officiating. Ms. Mechum was born on September 17, 1925 in Watertown, New York, daughter of the late John Richardson and the former Grace Roberts. She went home to be with her lord and savior on March 1, 2016 in Fernandina Beach, Florida following a lengthy illness. She was a faithful member of Whitehouse Assembly of God and loved spending time outdoors in her garden and was very well known for her crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time at the Baldwin Senior Center with all of her friends. Ms. Mechum is survived by her loving family: three nephews, nine nieces and many great nieces and nephews; numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Roberts and Joe Mechum as well as her fifteen brothers and sisters, she was the last of her generation. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday March 4, 2016 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
