Arlene Sikes Purvis

Funeral services for Martha "Arlene" Sikes Purvis (71) of Bryceville, Florida will be held 10 am, Friday, October 10, 2014 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with pastor Linda Adkins officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, Florida. Arlene was born on March 2, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Sikes and Elvie Raulerson. She passed away on October 7, 2014 following a brief illness. In addition to her husband of 54 years, Quincy Purvis, Jr., she is survived by: daughter, Gay (Wade) Williams; son, Troy Purvis, Sr.; five grandchildren, Holly Purvis, Troy Purvis, Jr., Emma Purvis, Samantha (Victor) Capshaw and Brooke (Veronica) Williams; numerous extended family and friends. Those serving as pallbearers include: Owen Evans, Drew Hood, Robbie Augustine, Tyler Powell, PT Fitzhugh and Jason Rapoza. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the funeral home.
