Graveside services for Alvie "Alvin" Padgett (59) of Jacksonville, FL will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2008 in Nolan Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Freddie Griffis and Brother Roscoe Thomas officiating. The interment will immediately follow. Mr. Padgett was born May 10, 1948 in Maxville, FL the son of the late Walter Padgett and the former Bertha Bell. He passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 in Jacksonville, FL following a lengthy illness. In addition to his wife, Janet Padgett, survivors include: Four Daughters, Brandy (Brad) Norman, Marcia (Todd) Gorman, Michele Highsmith and Jessica (Gordon) Currey-Austin; Two Sons, Bobby (Lucretia) Padgett and Kenny (Lisa) Campbell; Sixteen Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2008 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
