Mr. Alec Dwain Hodges, age 81 of St. George, Georgia, passed away peacefully, with his children by his side, on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Baptist Hospital Hospice Care. Dwain was born in St. George, Georgia to the late Alec E. and Dorothy L. Hodges. He retired from Maxwell House Coffee Company after thirty-three years as a machine operator. He enjoyed fishing, trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. He is survived by his children: Pamela (Gary) Wilson of Bryceville, Mark (Michele) Wells and Melissa (Rodney) LePrell all of St. George; brothers: Danny (Muriel) Hodges of Raiford and Adrian Hodges of St. George; sisters: Connie Mae (Gene) Powell of St. George and Peggy (Donnie) Gay of Garfield, GA; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife: Bonnie Lou Hodges; son: Darrell Dwain Hodges; daughter: Belinda Sue Sweat; sisters: G. Victoria Phillips and Iris Chesser; and his loving uncle: Oscar Leckie. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00am, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at New Life Baptist Church, St. George, with Pastor James Conner officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Hospice of North Florida or New Life Baptist Church Building Fund.
