Obituary

With heartfelt sorrow, we remember Albert Hunt Jr., born November 24, 1952, to the late Albert Hunt Sr. and Margie Hunt (Harris). Albert was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was marked by honor, dedication, and love. He passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 73.

Albert proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1976 as a Tank Turret Mechanic with the 11th Armored Cavalry, Black Horse Regiment. His courageous spirit was demonstrated through two tours in Vietnam, where he earned the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.

Following his military service, Albert continued his commitment to hard work as a mechanic for Ford Motor Company and later as a truck driver for various companies. He was a man who valued diligence and responsibility throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his brother Craig Hunt and his grandson Kendall Hunt. He is survived by his brother Keith Hunt; his five loving children, Naomi Montgomery, Mindy Carter, Margie Hunt, Albert Hunt III (Rocky), and Clint Hunt; as well as seventeen grandchildren, Taylor, Clay, Daniel, Abriel, June, Wyatt, Nathan, Hayley, Ethan, Eli, Gabriel, Aurora, Natalie, Gwenyth, Memphis, and Ophelia. His family’s legacy also lives on through his niece Brandy Hunt and his great-grandchildren Khloe and Levi. Albert will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the strength and kindness he shared with all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, honoring Albert’s courageous service and dedication to his fellow veterans.
