Lewis Hubert Conner

Mr. Lewis Hubert Conner, age 93 of Bryceville, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019. Mr. Conner was born in Hilliard, Florida to the late John Upchurch Conner and Dola McIntosh Conner.  He was a farmer and a retired supervisor at Southern Wood Piedmont Company, where he was employed for over thirty years. Mr. Conner was a member of Bryceville First Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years. He loved singing bluegrass gospel music and going fishing on the St. Mary’s river. A kind and loving man, he cherished time spent with his family. He is survived by his sons: Rex (Patricia) Conner of Bryceville and Ray (Hope) Conner of Callahan; grandchildren: Chad Conner, Michael Conner, Kristin (Richard) Geiger, Erica Johns, Kelly Kennedy, Ashley (Darrell) Padgett, Traci Bailey, Brent Johnson, and Melody (Eric) Beursken; great grandchildren: MaKayin, Conner, Kendall, Kelby, Grant, Cameron, Cade, Cole, Kellen, Cohen, Christian, Colby, Conner, Abigail, Cooper, Jonah, Jacob, Paityn,  and Shane. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Griffis Conner, his parents; brothers: Ellis, Aubrey, Melvin, and Clyde; and sister: Beulah Bell. Funeral services  will be held 12:00pm, Monday, November 11, 2019 at Bryceville First Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Abernathy and Brother Richard Fish officiating. Interment will follow in Conner-Green Cemetery, Hilliard. Serving as pallbearers will be: Eddie Conner, Richard Conner, Lawrence Conner, Stanley Conner, James Bell, and Brent Johnson.
